The market leader Nokia lastly launched two dual-SIM mobiles in India on Monday. Nokia C1 (C1-00) and Nokia C2 (C2-00) are the 1st dual-SIM mobile phones from the Finnish telecom gigantic. The market share of the company is already under pressure in the high-end Smartphone market to match the sensations of RIM; Apple; and Google Android-based phones have been battered in India in the past 2 years.


According to reports, Nokia’s market share hollow from 64% in 2008-09 to 52.2% in 2009-10. The company’s returns too fell from Rs16, 567 crore to Rs14, 100 crore throughout the same period. The company launched 22 devices throughout fiscal year 2009-10. 45% of Nokia’s 2 lakh retail outlets are in the rural areas.
